WHAT'S THE POINT IN LEARNING THE THING IF YOU AREN'T WILLING TO DO ANYTHING DIFFERENT?

This has been a conversation in my circle and with clients lately.....and it lands REALLY hard for Me.... which usually means it's time to talk about it.... with more people.... and YOU are more people.....

Mostly relating to the Self Development or Self Help world of books, courses, podcasts etc...also including plant medicines, rites of passage, vision quest, breathwork ..... the list is long

The "WORK" isn't reading the book, the work isn't the session, it isn't the journey...... it isn't in circle..... 

THAT ... thats 20% of the work..... its the door opening, the toe in the water... its the tip;) 

the W O R K is what you DO with what you've just learned... THAT is the 80% that matters.

It's also the part that most often gets left behind....  and then what happens is we have a BUNCH of people looping through, repeating all the same ol same ol, staying "in the work" staying in the struggle, staying in the victim space, staying in the suffering....... and not meeting the expansion, the clarity, the freedom, the light that they so desire..... the "it" that brought them to the "work" in the first place....

but they've only read the books..... maybe they took notes..... maybe they talked to their friends a bit about it.... but they didn't take the time to I N T E G R A T E and EMBODY what was taught in the book ( or course or experience ) 

It's reallllllly easy to learn a thing..... to logically KNOW it... and even repeat it and share it like you know it.... I've done it... A LOT. wow... more times than I would like to acknowledge over my life... 

and I think for Me at least it was to "fit in" or to sound smart enough, or intellectual, mature, spiritual ( whatever the F that means).....  and you know where that behaviour stemmed from?

BEING UNINTEGRATED.... UN EMBODIED in what I was learning.

The truth is.... the actual WORK, the 80% its not easy lol. It takes time.... and we live in a society of INSTANT GRATIFICATION..... Of hiring people to do the things for us, of ask and receive, of no waiting, having anything delivered to your house at the touch of a finger ..... so to have to ACTUALLY DO something... on repeat, in a way that you HAVEN'T been doing.... ever before, scares people, it intimidates people, it stops people dead in their tracks.... and the self sabotage rolls in.

Sound Familiar ??? 

ZERO JUDGEMENT.... like I said..... BEEEEEEEEEN THERE.....

So my question for us all is what would it look like to commit to YOURSELF, again... and again... and again until you not only KNOW the thing.... but you ARE the thing..... you have become the embodiment of THE THING.... and the 80% is filled with a BIG GREEN CHECK MARK.....

how would that feel ??
